Youth Advisory Board

The Voice. The Future. The Change.

At Village of Hope LA, we believe that young people are not just the future—they’re leaders right now. That’s why we created the Youth Advisory Board: a team of bold, brilliant, and purpose-driven youth who help shape the vision, voice, and impact of our programs.

Our Youth Advisory Board is made up of students and young adults who represent the heart of our mission. They bring fresh ideas, lived experiences, and honest perspectives to the table. Whether it’s planning events, giving feedback on programming, or speaking out on issues that matter, they are active decision-makers—not just participants.

These young leaders are rising up to create real change in their schools, communities, and families. With guidance from our mentors and staff, they are learning to lead with integrity, use their voices for good, and become the hope their generation needs.

Ke'Yunee Calahan

My name is Ke'Yunee Calahan. I proudly serve as the President of the Village of Hope Youth Advisory Board. I am currently a junior in high school. I am passionate about leadership and making a positive impact in my community.
In addition to my role at Village of Hope, I have a love for enhancing the confidence and beauty of others through hair and makeup. This creative passion fuels my drive to support and uplift those around
me.
Looking ahead, I plan to attend college to become a neonatal nurse and to fulfill my dream of owning my own business. My goals reflect my dedication to caring for others and using my talents to bring joy and healing wherever I go.

TyRhianna Darby

My name is Ty'rhiana Darby. I am honored to serve as the Vice President of
the Village of Hope Youth Advisory Board. This upcoming school year, I will be a senior in high school. At my school, I am actively involved in various clubs and proudly hold leadership roles that allow me to inspire and support my
peers.
After graduation, I plan to attend college to pursue my dream of becoming a traveling midwife. I am passionate about caring for others and making a meaningful difference in the lives of families around the world.

AAliyah Clark

My name is Aaliyah Clark. I am 14 years old.
I proudly serve as the Junior Vice President of the Village of Hope Youth Advisory Board.
Currently in the 9th grade, I stay active and involved at my school as a member of the marching band, the BAT team, and the school mascot for the Junior High.
Two of my favorite scriptures are Philippians 4:15, which reminds me of the power of giving and receiving support, and Numbers 6:24-26, a beautiful prayer of blessing and peace. My faith encourages me to always give my best and uplift others.
Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a career in engineering. I am passionate about using my creativity and problem-solving skills to make a positive impact on the world.

Azariah Johnson

My name is Azaria Johnson.
I am proud to serve as the Treasurer of the Village of Hope Youth Advisory Board. I am currently a junior in high school, where I enjoy staying active and involved in my community.
After graduation, I plan to attend college to become a traveling nurse. I am
passionate about helping others and making a positive impact wherever I go.
One of my favorite scriptures is John 14:8, which reminds me of the power of faith and trusting in God's plan for my life.

Anieshia Wright

My name is Aniesha Wright, but everyone calls me Nene. I am proud to serve as the Public Relations Support Leader for the Village of Hope Youth Advisory Board. I am 17 years old and passionate about leadership and connecting with others.
I am preparing to enroll in college to pursue a career in nursing. My love for helping people inspires me to find ways to support and uplift those around me, both in my community and beyond.
